Information we collect

When your institution provisions your account, or when you create your own account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and role and department or college assignment once approved. We also store the timetable, substitution, and calendar data your institution enters into GenXTime, and device tokens used to deliver push notifications.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate GenXTime: authenticating your sign-in, showing you the schedule and tools relevant to your role, routing substitution approvals to the right HOD, and sending push notifications when your timetable changes. We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see your data

Access is scoped to your institution and role. Students and teachers see their own resolved schedule; HODs see their department; Principals and Deans see broader institutional views as needed to manage timetables. GenXTime staff access data only to provide support or maintain the service.

Data retention

We retain account and timetable data for as long as your institution's account is active. If your institution's account is closed, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Your choices

You can review and correct your profile information through your institution's administrator. To request deletion of your personal data, contact us at hi@genxarc.com and we will work with your institution's administrator to process the request.
